Mata Nui, once a 40-million-foot tall mechanical being with thousands of Toa and Matoran living inside him, has been cast out of his own body. The evil Makuta Teridax now rules his titanic robotic form, and Mata Nui's consciousness is encased in the Mask of Life. The mask's path has brought it to the desert world of Bara Magna, and Mata Nui must re-learn everything if he is to ever reclaim his universe from the last Makuta.
